Family Faith and Footy is an inspiring story that traces the history of the Costa family and the development of the Costa Group of Companies from a retail fruit shop in Moorabool Street Geelong which opened in 1888 to what it has become today – Australia’s largest privately owned fresh fruit and vegetable organisation.
Frank Costa is an outstanding Australian. With his four brothers he has built his business through hard work, strong personal relationships and principles underpinned by strong values.
Frank has a deep religious faith and is the father of eight adult daughters. He is widely known as the president of AFL football club Geelong. During his term of office the club has gone from near bankruptcy to profitability; new grandstand facilities have been built; and the playing team has regained competitiveness.
